A Pet Partner Evaluation is when you and your pet demonstrate that, together, you are able to conduct safe and effective visits. The team evaluation is a simulated therapy animal visit conducted by a Pet Partners licensed team evaluator. Remember, you must complete and pass your Handler Course before the date of your team evaluation. Pet Partners does not require, provide, or recommend specific training for therapy animals. Animals that qualify for our program will have these qualities: Basic obedience skills (as appropriate to their species); Comfortable wearing a collar or harness and leash; House trained; Have a temperament that welcomes interactions with strangers.
