Oct 5, 1999 · When I used to raise corn and it got to about 4 inches tall, I would turn the hillers to cut down and cut each side of the row away until the row was only about 3 to 4 inches wide. I would then side dress them, turn the hillers around and pull the row back up. But that ended the hillers for that crop. Here are 2 pictures to help you. You don't need the drawbar or the brackets. You do need the lifters for the front and rear, the rear ones mounting to the final drive. The long rod between the front and rear rockshafts raises and lowers the rear at the same time as the front.
